Was There an Ancient Civilization on Mars?

             The rock formations and landscape found on the surface of the planet Mars may well be nothing more sinister than a trick of light and shadow.  Here on Earth, we are able to discern faces or scull-like features in rock formations as a random, natural consequence, especially when viewed from a distance.  Likewise, one may lie out on the lawn on a summer afternoon and find countless familiar images in passing clouds that soon morph into some other familiar object.

            However, these images taken by the Rover on Mars’ surface, when examined in total, seem to suggest a pattern that is not found in nature.  Some of them seem to suggest the handiwork of an intelligent race of beings, similar to our own, that were either cut short in their natural evolutionary progress or were forced underground by the bombardment of meteorites, a dwindling atmosphere, the evaporation of it’s water supply or countless other reasons.

            After viewing these pictures from Mars, you decide.

 This image is a composite of two separate pictures taken at the same location.  In the center is a large rock with a small rock on top of it.  Did this smaller rock land on the larger one as the result of debris from a landing meteorite, or was it placed there?  To the right of the large rock is an object that looks suspiciously like a sculpture of a man’s head.  Note the enlarged insert.  To the left of the large rock is an object that looks suspiciously like a primitive tool – perhaps a chisel for the purpose of rock carving. Could this area be the abandon workshop of some ancient sculpture? 

Here is image of an impression in the Martian soil of, what appears to be, the profile of a woman with shoulder length hair wearing a tall headdress.  To the right of this image the area has been outlined.  The detail provided by this view makes it apparent that such a detailed image of an identifiable humanoid figure would be impossible to have randomly taken shape naturally.  (Note:  The size of the area of this image is unknown.)

This startling image is an area that NASA scientists have obviously taken a great interest in.  The area is reminiscent of ancient cities or ceremonial plats that have been discovered or unearthed on our own planet.  Buried beneath a coat of Martian dust, wide steps or plateaus uniformly lead down to an area in the center of the picture where there are two “cave-like” entrances.  These steps are even more apparent at the top, just left of center.  These steps appear to lead up to two pyramid-shaped structures.  The fact that Martian dust has settled over this and other areas of the planet proves that there is (or once was) a life-sustaining atmosphere – something that mainstream science has long theorized Mars was devoid of.  Dust and rock particles would not be able to settle back down to the planet’s surface in the absence of an atmosphere.

Here is what closely resembles the fossilized backbone of some living creature.  Once again, these could be nothing more than randomly spaced rocks that form something similar to a recognizable object.  However, upon close inspection, one would be hard pressed to find such a rock formation that has been naturally formed through randomization.

This picture shows a three-sided pyramid.  The front of the pyramid may have been chiseled out to represent a face.  The probable explanation is that it has either been broken off or eroded away.  Nonetheless, the contour of the rock would suggest a perfect pyramid shape.  Furthermore, many like-shaped rocks have appeared in other pictures taken by the Rover.

This image shows a large rock formation with an “A” centered between two perfect “O’s”.  Perhaps it’s a stretch to assert the theory that an ancient race of Martians has left us signs in our own alphabetic system. However, many other letters, such as “C”, “E”, “F”, “G”,  “P”, “U” and “V”, appear in other pictures of Martian rocks that appear to have been deliberately carved.  When one considers the fact that our present alphabet was derived from an ancient system of similar symbols, it begs the question; “did we invent this system or was it taught to us?  And if so, by whom?”

 I think it is ironic when I hear the words, “It is impossible for intelligent beings to live on planets in outer space”, when these contentions are being espoused by intelligent beings that live on a planet in outer space. 

With the volume of data and images being beamed back to Earth from our sister planet, Mars, it may not be long before there is substantial evidence to prove that an intelligent race of beings, not that much different than our own, had its beginnings there.  If a Martian civilization can reach the point of evolution that modern man might regard as “primitive” before some natural catastrophe befalls it, it is entirely possible that planets elsewhere in this vast universe have not only done the same but have continued to advance far beyond that point.

If the skeptic needs further confirmation of such a planet’s existence, they need only look beneath their feet.
